Weekends...suck!

Ohhhh weekends! Ok, so i usually can keep it together on weekends, eat correct portions and keep active (well I have for the last 5 weeks or so) but THIS weekend, like I said, i went away for the weekend giving it that 'vacation' kind of feel. Well i am sure you all know what THAT means...it means throwing all your convictions to the wind and even though you gave yourself pep-talk after pep-talk about how you will be good, you get in the situation and are like "whatever! i am on vacatioN! I never go on vacation! Carpe Diem!"

well carpe diem my ass! literally! so, sometimes you have to learn the hard way...but if I want to lose this weight by wedding day I have to commit 100%, and no matter what the "excuse" is, I need to realize that it wont be the last opportunity that I will ever have ice cream, or alcohol, or bbq...i just need to stick to my plan, weekend or not, and do it right. I was 173 friday morning, then sunday night 178! JOKE!~Needless to say, here are the weigh in stats after week 5:

Starting Weight: 185
Current weight: 175
Week Weight lost: 0
Total Weight lost: 10 lbs

Also, here are some pics that made me go "DAMN!! I need to LOOSSSEEE WEEIIGGHTTTT" looking at them now even makes me more determined than ever...I hope to be in the 160s by the end of this month... I will try to post a new pic of 10 pounds down soon...but yea here are the WTF shots...

maybe its me, maybe its that all my friends weigh a buck oh five!

  1. i think you deserve a "cheat day"!!! I personally think they help you lose more weight in the long run! Dont worry.. im sure its water weight gain.. you will be fine! And you look beautiful!

    You have me looking through old pictures now too. Yikes! I think once I'm down to my goal weight I am going to make a new facebook page and get rid of all the "before" pictures. lol. There are some horrible ones on there... double chins and all! haha.

    Good new approach though. Jump 100% in! Remember, you know what all that food tastes like... and you will be able to have it again! It will taste so much better later on when you have met your goals and don't have to feel guilty about eating it though! :)

    We got this! Weekend was a little bump in the road, but it didn't steer us off course! (Wow, please excuse that last lame motivational statement, comparing our weight loss efforts to some kind of car trip. lol) You know what I mean though!

  3. thanks guys! Though Kristen I dont think i have that post-prego metabolism the speed of a rabbit on my side here hahaha, someday though!

    I think i have to do it 100% in it to win it, otherwise I just always feel guilty! until i meet that goal ill just be regretting something I should ultimately enjoy!

    lol Alyson! your metaphor was ok...i need some awesome poster looking at a mountain that says "Perserverance" or something under it...and when i say mountain I mean my ass....

    this week is going to rock it...next monday i am shooting for 172!
